South Pass Louisiana for Giant Bull Redfish!
Greetings Friends,
Things are really kicking in gear down around the mouth of the mighty Mississippi and south pass. Captain Keith says, "The Giant Bull Reds are rippin' and snortin'!
For some exciting GIANT RED FISH ACTION click on the YouTube link to the right. Then, for a full account of the trip, check out the Bulls on the Beach feature story from the April 2010 edition of Sportsman's News by clicking on the Sportsman's News logo to the right.
Standard and Custom Bull Reds Fishing Packages Available
I have a great standard package available which includes three (3) full days fishing and four (4) nights lodging all inclusive at the camp. Once you arrive the camp on the afternoon of your day 1 travel day the package price begins. Your first evening meal is provided. Day's 2-3 includes three scrumptious meals, soft drinks, bottled water, ice tea, boat, fuel, captain/guide, fishing license, accommodations and camaraderie! Day four (4) includes breakfast before your morning departure. The Venice camp is approximately 2 hours from the New Orleans International airport. The standard package usually begins with an arrival on Monday and a departure on Friday. This is encouraged to avoid the weekend anglers and traffic on the river. Custom packages may be designed with adequate advance notice.
For an easy trip with great food, great accommodations and a superior captain and guide to a world class light tackle destination Venice, LA is the place to go and Born to Fish Charters with Captain Keith is my personal recommendation.
Call me soon to book your next trip for a "Run with the Bull's"...the Bull Red's from the backwaters, bayous, bays and beaches of south pass.
Our good friend and resident pro is at the camp this week with a group and reports:

Hey David!
Great first day! Perfect weather with little to no wind and no fog. Spent a slow morning looking for the fish just like the other boats around us, but boy did Capt. Keith put us on the redfish this afternoon. River has come up considerably the past few days due to all the rain up north, and you have to search for the "green" pretty water. Keith did his thing and we had a ball this afternoon. 30 redfish up to 32 pounds (pic attached) with a 22 pounder and many many doubles on "teeners". Big one came on a gold Rattletrap just like numerous others at the end of the day. Most of the others came on Tsunami split tail minnows under a popping cork. Funny thing, David, these bull reds are just as much fun as they were last year!!! I wish all our friends could experience this absolutely amazing fishing down here in Venice. Capt. Keith is already booked up completely for May and June, so I encourage anyone interested to call as soon as possible.
All the best,
Gary
