LINCOLN, Neb. – The spring turkey season for shotgunners begins April 17, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Beginning on that date all turkey hunters, including youth, may pursue turkeys with either archery equipment or shotguns through the end of the season, May 31.
Permit prices, not including issuing fees, are: resident turkey, $23; resident youth turkey, $5; nonresident turkey, $90; and nonresident youth turkey, $5. Youth permits are for hunters under age 16 on the opening day of the youth archery season. Permits may be purchased at OutdoorNebraska.org.
A hunter may purchase up to three spring turkey permits. The bag limit is one male or bearded female turkey per permit.
Turkey hunters are reminded that they may submit reports of their hunts to the Outdoor Report, located at OutdoorNebraska.org.
