Captain Burt Klein “Trashman” along with crew caught and released a 100-pound white marlin. Had this fish been brought back to the dock it would have clearly interrupted Thomas Hester’s Georgia state record caught in 1986. His white marlin officially weight in at 49 pounds 12 ounces. So therefore it’s unofficial and it doesn’t count in the old records books. However, the “Trashman’s” marlin would have broken the Georgia state record by a little over 50 pounds! Now that right there is a record in itself! Congratulations for this great catch and best of all is “what could have been state record” is still swimming today!
