Thunderbird: May 16. Elevation normal, water murky. All boat traffic closed due to May 10th tornado damage to Little River Marina and boat docks. Fisherman's Point, Little Sandy, Hog Creek and Little Axe campgrounds are closed. Fishing from shore still available in the Twin Bridges area, Clearbay and South Dam areas. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 2-6 ft. Saugeye good on minnows, jigs, sassy shad and medium-diving crankbaits. A few saugeye are being caught while fishing for crappie. Channel catfish fair to good on cut baits and sponge baits in Twin Bridges area. Best fishing times are from daylight to about 10:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to dark.
