BURRASTON PONDS: (August 25) Anglers have seen fish and report fair catch rates.
CANYON VIEW PARK POND: (August 25) Although anglers are catching some fish on the southwest side of the pond, overall success is slow.
DEER CREEK RESERVOIR: (August 25) Most anglers report that fishing has slowed over the last week or two. Boat anglers are catching trout by trolling various lures or pop gear. To catch smallmouth bass, try casting toward points and retrieving bass lures. You can also catch bass from the shore, but there haven't been many reports from shore anglers.
DIAMOND FORK RIVER: (August 25) The last report from an angler was two weeks ago. Trout success should continue to be fair to good if you use flies, spinners or worms. It's grasshopper-pattern time if you're a terrestrial-pattern angler!
GRANTSVILLE RESERVOIR: (August 25) Officer Troy Hammond reports that there is still plenty of water at Grantsville, but there's no shade. Although the reservoir has been stocked several times, anglers report slow fishing. Fishing should improve as soon as temperatures start to cool.
HIGHLAND GLEN PARK: (August 25) Catfish were stocked last week, but there haven't been any recent reports from anglers. There's a two-fish limit at all community fisheries.
JORDANELLE RESERVOIR: (August 25) Jordanelle Reservoir has been a bright spot this week! Several anglers have reported good fishing for smallmouth bass. Trout fishing has been fair from boats and the shoreline.
KIDNEY POND: (August 25) Catfish were stocked last week. Fishing has been slow, and there isn't much angler pressure. There's a two-fish limit at the pond.

PROVO RIVER, LOWER: (August 25) Trout fishing is fair to good, and you can catch some white bass near Utah Lake. You'll have the most success in the early-morning hours. Stretches of this river have special regulations. You can review these rules on page 28 of the Utah Fishing Guidebook.
PROVO RIVER, MIDDLE: (August 25) Many anglers visited this stretch of the river over the past week. They reported success with small, dark nymphs.
SALEM POND: (August 25) Trout fishing is slow to fair. You'll find bluegill and small bass all along the edges of the pond.
SETTLEMENT CANYON RESERVOIR: (August 25) Officer Troy Hammond interviewed anglers who reported fair fishing for trout. Most anglers had a couple of trout. The water level remains moderate.
SILVER LAKE: (August 25) Officer Mike Roach reports that the lake has been stocked, and there's good fishing. Unfortunately, there aren't many access points because of vegetation-restoration efforts. Please be patient and allow other anglers to fish near you. Community ponds in Salt Lake County were stocked last week, and fishing has been fair. The streams in both Little and Big Cottonwood canyons are fishing well for brown trout.
SPANISH OAKS RESERVOIR: (August 25) There are still several swimmers on the beach, so give them room to recreate. Anglers report fair fishing with traditional baits.
STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR: (August 25) Many anglers report fair fishing, especially for kokanee salmon. They're also catching a lot of smaller rainbow trout and cutthroat trout that fall within the 15- to 22-inch slot limit.
THISTLE CREEK: (August 25) Try using small flies or a grasshopper pattern. Worms are also a safe bet for catching brown trout.
TIBBLE FORK RESERVOIR: (August 25) Anglers report slow to fair fishing with traditional baits and lures.
UTAH LAKE: (August 25) Anglers report catching many white bass and channel catfish. Any small-action lure tipped with bait will work for the white bass. Worms or other stink baits work well for channel catfish.
VERNON RESERVOIR: (August 25) Officer Hammond reports that the reservoir is very low and that it isn't a good place to fish right now.
VIVIAN PARK POND: (August 25) You'll find a lot of fishing pressure and fairly slow fishing.
WILLOW POND: (August 25) Officer Mike Roach reports slow to fair fishing. The pond should be stocked again soon.
YUBA RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (August 25) Fishing pressure is light. Most anglers report slow fishing for pike, walleye and perch. Due to low water levels, boat launching at the Painted Rocks boat ramp is not recommended. Anyone who uses the ramp is doing so at their own risk. The main boat ramp, located off I-15, is open for use and is in excellent condition. For more information, visit stateparks.utah.gov or call 435–758-2611.
