BEAR LAKE: (August 26) Biologist Scott Tolentino reports that fishing is good. Fishing for cutthroat is fair along the east side and Cisco Beach area and good off the scout camp. Anglers have reported catching cutthroat trout and a few lake trout from about 65 feet of water using Rapalas off downriggers right above the bottom around the Gus Rich Point/rockpile area. Some cutthroat are in the 5-pound range and lake trout are in the 3- to 10-pound range. Boat and shore anglers are catching rainbow trout along the state park marina and off the shoreline to the south of the marina. Try using PowerBait and worms or trolling with small spoons. You can launch your boats at the Utah State Park marina, 1st point, Cisco Beach and Rainbow Cove ramps. The surface water temperature is 68 degrees.
BIRCH CREEK RESERVOIR: (August 26) Fishing is slow. The algae growth gets thick in the late summer but will dissipate with cooler weather.
BLACKSMITH FORK RIVER: (August 26) Dan Christensen reports good fishing. Cooler weather is coming, so take advantage of the beautiful canyon and dry fly fishing. Late summer and fall are some of the best times to fish this river.
BOUNTIFUL LAKE: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Jason Simpson reports good fishing for catfish. Anglers are using worms or PowerBait and reporting a lot of bites. This pond is receives a lot of recreational activity.
CAUSEY RESERVOIR: (August 26) Causey is closed to the possession of Kokanees. The forks in the back are closed.
CUTLER RESERVOIR & MARSH: (August 19) There haven't been any recent reports from anglers.
EAST CANYON RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Ron Hansen reports fair fishing from shore with green PowerBait with sparkles. Try tipping your bait with salmon eggs, casting 20 to 30 feet out and make sure your bait is about 12 inches off the floor off the reservoirs.
ECHO RESERVOIR: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Ron Hansen reports that catfish are hitting stink bait in the shallows. Smallmouth bass fishing is good near the rocky points.
FARMINGTON POND: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Jason Simpson reports slow fishing. Most anglers were using worms and PowerBait.
HOLMES CREEK RESERVOIR: (August 19) Last Saturday, one angler reported that although the fish were raising and active, he had no luck with Rapalas.
HYRUM RESERVOIR & STATE PARK: (August 19) There haven't been any recent reports from anglers.
JENSEN NATURE PARK POND: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Jason Simpson reports slow fishing. Most anglers were fishing for catfish with worms or hot dogs.
KAYSVILLE PONDS: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Jason Simpson reports the fishing was good for catfish and blue gill. Most anglers were fishing for catfish using worms or shrimp. Lots of 6–8 inch cats. Small bluegill were released.

MIRROR LAKE: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Jon Sneddon reports the following:
Pass Lake: Anglers are concentrating around the dam on the west end of the lake. Sinking a worm or PowerBait produced about one fish per hour.
Mirror Lake: Fishing is slow from canoes and floattubes with spinners and flies. Anglers had success in the early morning casting worms and lures from shore.
Moosehorn: Fishing is very slow, no matter the method or location.
Lost Lake: Fishing is very slow and fishing pressure is light.
Lily Lake: Fishing early with a fly was good. Try fishing with a worm tipped with a salmon egg.
Tea Pot: Sinking green PowerBait from the north east shore produced a fish about every 10 minutes during the morning. A fly from a floattube was also very effective.
Washington Lake: Try casting sinking PowerBait as far as you can from the southwest corner of the lake. Fishing from floattubes and canoes is slow. Fishing picks up every time the sun emerges.
Trial Lake: Try casting sinking PowerBait from the shore near the dam, or fishing with a fly from the east shore.

PINEVIEW RESERVOIR: (August 26) Conservation Officer David Beveridge reports good fishing for smallmouth bass. Trying fishing early in the morning or at dusk to avoid the recreational boats. Anglers are also having success catching mud cats in the shallow grassy/muddy bottom areas."
PORCUPINE RESERVOIR: (August 26) Reminder: The reservoir is closed to the possession of kokanee salmon with any red color from Aug. 15 through 6 a.m. on Sept. 25. The area from Porcupine Reservoir upstream to the headwaters is closed from Aug. 15 through 6 a.m. on Sept. 25.
ROCKPORT RESERVOIR: (August 26) Dedicated Hunter Ron Hansen reports fair fishing for rainbows while trolling with brass-colored popgear or any lures that are brass with red stripe or red dots.
WEBER RIVER: (August 26) Biologist Paul Thompson reports good fishing. Fishing is good with smaller #16 pheasant tails and hares ears.
